  • ​The Student Health Services Department supports the mission of the District to graduate all students by implementing programs and providing services designed to reduce health-related barriers to learning, promote each student’s optimal level of wellness and empower students and their families with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve lifelong health and wellness. • Homeless Support:

  • The McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act, reauthorized in December 2015 by the Title X, Part C, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), ensures the educational rights and protections for children and youth experiencing homelessness.

• Bullying:

  • MISD does not tolerate bullying. Students or parents may report an alleged incident, orally or in writing, to the campus administration. MISD encourages parents and staff to be fully proactive and to educate students regarding safe Internet practices. Parents that limit or monitor texting activity will decrease the likelihood that a child will send, save, or distribute sexually explicit images. Before You Text is a very helpful online tool.

    • STOPit Anonymous Report System empowers students and parents to anonymously report issues BEFORE they escalate.  If students observe a safety, misconduct, or compliance concern submit an anonymous report online of their incident using the STOPit app, website, or telephone hotline.
